Project Solution
The Dallas Holocaust Museum partnered with Climatec to implement a $250,000 comprehensive security upgrade including advanced video surveillance systems integrated with gunshot recognition, weapons detection, and intelligent video analytics. This provided the Museum with enhanced situational awareness, faster emergency response, proactive threat prevention, and improved operational insights, allowing for a safer environment with fewer on-site personnel required. Using technologies from Milestone Systems, Hanwha, Bosch, BriefCam, and Software House, a unified, high-performance platform was created.
Milestone Systems supplied a centralized video management platform, enabling real-time monitoring and streamlined security operations. Hanwha intelligent surveillance cameras provided high-resolution imaging and embedded analytics, improving threat detection capabilities and allowing quicker, more accurate identification of suspicious activities. Bosch contributed gunshot recognition technology, enabling immediate identification and location of firearm discharges in addition to weapons detection. BriefCam added advanced video analytics software, allowing security teams to rapidly review, search, and analyze video footage for faster investigations. Software House provided access control, enabling secure, centralized management of staff and visitor access points. Triton sensors were utilized to ensure high air quality standards, meet WELL and LEED standards, and get custom AI-powered alerts to a range of conditions such as loitering. This resulted in a smarter, more responsive security system that significantly reduced the need for on-site guard staff while improving real-time awareness. The project delivered measurable improvements in safety and operational efficiency, reducing reliance on manual monitoring while enhancing protection for visitors, staff, and exhibits.
