Sanger Independent School District

Since 2022, Climatec has worked closely with Sanger ISD to modernize its security infrastructure, addressing the need for updated access control and video surveillance systems to keep students and faculty safe. A comprehensive security solution for Sanger ISD, featuring upgraded access control and on-premises video surveillance systems, was implemented.

As part of the access control upgrade, a total of 105 doors across the district were equipped with Avigilon Alta, a cloud-based system that allows administrators to manage entry points remotely in real-time. This solution has improved operational efficiency by enabling administrators to manage access remotely and automate access schedules. Alta has reduced the need for on-site visits and allowed for faster response to one-off scheduling requests.

To enhance visibility and threat detection, Sanger ISD implemented 224 Hanwha Pro Licenses, supporting a robust video surveillance network powered by Hanwha Wave. The high-resolution cameras and intelligent videos help detect and respond to potential security threats by providing real-time insights and situational awareness across campus facilities.

Supporting this infrastructure, BCD Video delivered a robust and scalable storage infrastructure, ensuring reliable recording, easy retrieval, and long-term video preservation of critical video evidence.

The Alta upgrade is currently being implemented at a total of seven campuses, plus the newly constructed high school set to be commissioned in June 2025. All of Sanger ISD will be fully commissioned using Alta by the end of July. This integrated approach empowered the district to monitor campus activities more effectively, streamline incident response, and reduce security vulnerabilities across all facilities.

With a project value exceeding $500,000, the modernization efforts have significantly strengthened Sanger ISD’s overall security posture, improved day-to-day operational efficiency, and established a future-ready foundation for ongoing safety initiatives throughout the district.
