A hotel’s value is critically linked to the comfort and security of its guests. From the lobby to the presidential suite, from the parking garage to room access, Climatec solutions are focused on what matters most to the hospitality industry.

Sheraton Hotel — Phoenix, AZ

High rise convention hotel topping out at 31 stories with 1,000 guest rooms, a 6,500 sf fitness center, 80,000 sf of flexible meeting space, 29,000 sf ballroom space, 15,000 sf junior ballroom, with 16 meeting rooms and two boardrooms. We provided both fire alarm and EMS controls for seamless safety and comfort.

This project utilized a design assist application which Climatec BTG participated in and is one of the city’s first projects incorporating building information modeling (BIM) techniques for the facility’s design and construction, which helped the project save time and money. Chilled Water for the Sheraton is provided by Northwind LLC. distributed through four (4) chilled water Heat Exchangers and controlled in Lead-Lag staged configuration on the customer side to maintain the required chilled water set point. Variable Primary pumping will be accomplished utilizing four (4) variable speed pumps controlled from remote Chilled Water Pressure Transducers. Heating Water for the Sheraton is provided by three (3) Boilers set up in a variable secondary configuration. The boilers are staged in a Lead-Lag configuration to maintain the heating water setpoint. The pumps are controlled from remote Heating Water Pressure Transducers. There are 14 VAV Air Handlers serving the common areas, ballrooms, meeting rooms serving a total of 156 VAV Boxes. There are four (4) Garage Exhaust Fans which are demand controlled based upon CO concentration levels. We are controlling 54 back of house Fan Coil Units and 22 General Exhaust Fans.

THE PHOENICIAN RESORT — PHOENIX, AZ

The Phoenician is one of Arizona largest most luxurious resorts. The building was originally constructed in the late 1980’s and had an existing Honeywell Sentara system. Climatec BTG was challenged to retrofit the Sentara system with an EST3 while keeping the existing system fully functional.

The new EST3 system consisted of an EST3 with audio evacuation, 15 node copper network, 1 Fireworks Graphics Station, 987 signature devices, 287 Genesis strobes, and 1381 Genesis speaker strobes. Climatec BTG installed this system in a phased process. Work was completed is the summer months when the hotel’s occupancy is low. Challenges on this project include short turn over times for areas of construction. The hotel closed down an entire wing for the construction process and our project manager provided daily reports to the resort personnel to ensure a prompt completion. The first phase of this project was turned over to the resort a week ahead of schedule.

FOUR SEASONS HOTEL & SPA — WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA
