BANNER HEALTH SYSTEM – SYSTEM WIDE — PHOENIX, AZ

For 8 years Climatec, has been one of the preferred solutions providers to the Banner Health System throughout Arizona, formerly known as Samaritan Health Care and Lutheran Health Care. Climatec has been involved with new construction as well as retrofit/modernization projects throughout its relationship with Banner Health.

MERCY GILBERT MEDICAL CENTER — MESA, AZ

Climatec provided an entire integrated Low Voltage Special Systems package for this new hospital. A West Com nurse call system had been installed and currently supports the entire facility of approximately 175 beds and patient stations.

The system has 4 Centrals and 15 Masters. Integration includes Versus Staff Locator in all patient areas, TQI management reporting software, ‘i-Page’ paging software, and integration to a Spectra-Link Wireless Phone system. A Secure Care infant protection system had been installed on the entire 3rd floor, reports locally, reports alarm location to public safety on the first floor, and integrates to wireless devices for notification. Hospital wide CCTV is controlled at the public safety room. Access Control and an Employee Badging System was installed at the public safety room. The EST fire alarm system was completely designed to meet life safety codes and all local authority having jurisdiction approval. Climatec installed an open protocol Alerton BACnet building management system. This hospital consisting of a massive Chilled Water Central Plant, Steam Generation System, over (12) Variable Air Volume Air Handling Units, and over (400) VAV boxes. Climatec utilized the Open Protocol BACnet system to integrate into high-end room pressure controllers to maintain negative pressure in certain areas and to integrate into Phoenix Lab Controls Systems via a factory supplied open protocol gateway. Climatec continues to provide HVAC controls on all future Build-Outs and most surrounding Medical Office Buildings on this Campus. The in-fill of 90 additional beds on the second tower is currently underway. All equipment in the new tower will be networked with the existing systems for complete integration of all features.

KAISER MEDICAL CENTER – DOWNEY, CA

Climatec is nearing completion of Building Automation Systems installation for the new Kaiser Medical Center in Downey. This project includes a 650,000 sq. ft. patient care facility as well as a central plant, all totaling over 1 million square feet.

Climatec will be engineering, furnishing and installing Alerton BACtalk digital controls for control and monitoring of HVAC systems including 18 Air Handlers, 800 Terminal Units, and 84 Fan Coils. We provide critical care controls for 14 Operating Rooms and 24 Isolation Rooms. Control of Central Plant equipment includes 6 Boilers, 3 Chillers and 3 Cooling Towers system will also provide secondary monitoring of the Fire/Life Safety System associated with initiation of smoke control processes.

JOHN C. LINCOLN DEER VALLEY PHOENIX, AZ

The John C Lincoln Medical Center was a retrofit project that was converted Steafa Smart II System to Alerton BACtalk. The JCL Medical Center project retrofit of the existing hospital was completed in September 2002.

It was completed during off hours to minimize the impact on the hospital staff and customers. The expansion of the JCL Medical Center from a 97 bed facility to a 294 bed facility is currently underway and will be completed in January 2004. The retrofit project was done as a design build project directly with the hospital and was completed within budget and ahead of schedule. Climatec BTG currently has a service contract for the DDC system and training at this facility. A new West-Com Odyssey Plus system was installed in the recent New Tower hospital expansion. The 1st Floor is a new Emergency Department with 32 Beds and 4 Masters. The 2nd Floor has 32 Beds and 2 Masters. The 3rd Floor is completed with 30 Beds and a 4 Bed Dialysis area. Some of the existing Dukane systems were also replaced in the original tower. 24 Beds were changed to West-Com Odyssey Plus in a renovation area. 13 Beds were added in a renovation for the new Mendy’s pediatric Emergency Department. An existing PACU was also renovated and outfitted with new Code Blue buttons. The Fire Alarm System is a multi-node Edwards Systems Technology EST-3 Network. We currently have one EST-3 panel in the Existing Tower, one EST-3 panel was added for the New Tower, and a third EST-3 panel was added for the new Parking Garage. The EST-3 panels are networked together to function as one system.

JOHN C. LINCOLN NORTH MOUNTAIN — PHOENIX, AZ

The John C Lincoln Medical Center was a retrofit project that was converted Steafa Smart II System to Alerton BACtalk. A West-Com Odyssey Plus system was recently installed in the 5th floor West wing. This was a replacement of an Executone system. It is the first Odyssey Plus system in this facility, and is relatively small with 5 semi-private rooms utilizing dual patient stations, 2 private rooms using single patient stations.

1 central and 1 Master were installed with this project. A new West-Com Novus system with Focus Care software is being installed in 4 West, 1 Central, 1 Master, 9 Semi Private Rooms, 5 Private Rooms. 5 West will have the same installation completed in the remodel project The Surgery Department remodel and Emergency Department expansion have recently been completed. The Surgery Department has West-Com Endeavor systems installed as part of the remodel. A 10 Bed Pre-Op, and 20 Bed PACU have been completed. The New Emergency Department has a new West-Com Novus system with Focus Care software installed. The system includes 1 Central, 3 Masters with 3 Slave wall mount monitors, 37 Patient Rooms. The installation includes a new Call Display Terminal in the PBX office for Code Blue annunciation and Radio Paging to alphanumeric pagers for automatic and manual messaging. The Fire Alarm System is a multi-node Edwards Systems Technology IRC-3 Network. There are 11 panels in the facility Networked into one Fire Alarm System.

ST. JOHN’S HEALTH CENTER – SANTA MONICA, CA

Climatec is providing Building Automation Systems for the second step of the new Saint John’s rebuilding plan. This step is the construction of a 275,000-square-foot, four-story diagnostic and treatment facility, which will be built on the site of the original hospital and is anticipated to be completed in January 2009.

To make way for the new facility, the demolition of the oldest hospital building on the site, the Main Wing, will take place in January 2005. Climatec will be engineering, furnishing and installing Alerton BACtalk digital controls for control and monitoring of HVAC systems and smoke control systems. The system will also provide secondary monitoring of the Fire/Life Safety System associated with initiation of smoke control processes.
